Can't seem to get back on track
Everything's holding you back
Seems like whatever you do
There's a ubiquitous fugue
When the world seems broken
Let the world reopen
When you smile
Sink in the ocean like lead
A black cloud over my head
A fracture inside my crown
All of these things wear me down
In the dark and blind
You're a ray of sunshine
When you smile

Don't Cry

walking down and endless highway something to be found
you know there's something out there not just another town
life it goes by so darn slowly knowing I'm out there
the burden of the question on the whole earth where
don't cry don't cry
I'll be back someday I hope
flailing through the darkness searching for the light
I know I'm out there somewhere just keep up my old fight
life it's like a big wheel crushing all your dream
the world is just a playground paper people paper reams
you know I've got to go
don't cry just on with the show
don't cry don't cry
I'll be back someday I hope
you know I can't go back there
even if the road ahead holds a greater despair
I can't wait for you
don't cry don't cry
I'll be back someday I hope

people say the best things in life are simple
slow your world down put one foot down at a time and you'll see what I mean
every second hold a pretty picture
it's just we go too fast too complex and too complicated to see
sure life is hard to cope with the fact the world and our lifestyle are moving too fast
we make the wrong choices every day
every moment is holding something good
we don't see it we don't look where we should
and our dreams aren't hiding in the clouds no more
hold on to your dreams but don't impractical or they'll burst at the seams
optimism and determination are the keys to success but don't push too hard or you'll be standing all alone
we are only human but we try

Bëker Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
A solo project, that has been percolating for a long time (longer than one has fingers and toes). The madness is perhaps the manic side of Bëker's disfunctional bi-polar personality. Binary Drama is the first of this branding, written mostly in 2007, through the worst of times and later the best of times. It was a lazy project the refused to finish itself until now. ... more
